This artwork is a collage created from a compilation of photographs of bodies that abound on the internet. Photography is pervasive, and at the same time, it is a mirror of our society and a component of our world. The internet is saturated with images and today there are many photographs of the human body to be found there, often fetishized, and from all corners of the globe. It is easy for the media to put together what they consider to be the perfect body yet if you really look at all the various bodies you can see that there is no perfect body. This artwork embraces difference, through photo collage techniques pieced together new body propositions. These bodies are made up from many different bodies, which seeks to escape the categorizations of the body that the mass media and the internet promote. Through digital cutting and pasting It presents us with new imaginary propositions and suggests an open minded picturing of the contemporary human body in all its forms and from all places.
本作品はインターネット上に溢れている身体の写真を集めて作られたコラージュ作品である。写真は広く普及していると同時に、私たちの社会を映す鏡であり、私たちの世界を構成する要素でもある。インターネットは画像で飽和状態であり、今日、そこには多くの人間の身体の写真があり、しばしばフェティッシュ化され、世界中のあらゆるところから発信されている。メディアが完璧な身体と考えるものをまとめるのは簡単ですが、本当に様々な身体を見れば、完璧な身体など存在しないことがわかる。この作品では、その違いを受け入れ、写真のコラージュ技術を通して、新しい身体の提案を行っている。本作品は様々な身体から構成されており、マスメディアやインターネットが促進する身体の分類から逃れようとしている。デジタルな編集を通して、新しい想像の提案をし、現代の人間の身体をあらゆる形、あらゆる場所から開放的に描くことを提案している。
