This artwork is a print of photographs of people making purchases, captured on their receipts. Our world operates on a monetary economy where we trade money for goods and services. I wanted to visually represent the workings of capitalism by taking pictures of these exchanges, which are symbolized by the receipts themselves.
この作品は、買い物をする人々のレシートを撮影した写真をプリントしたものである。私たちの世界は、お金とモノやサービスを交換する貨幣経済で動いている。ドキュメンタリーの手法を使って、レシートそのものに消費のやりとりを撮影することで、普段目にすることができない人々の消費しているモノと彼らの消費している姿を結びつけ、資本主義の仕組みを視覚的に表現している。
